The design provided for the retention of the existing nineteenth century wrought iron parapets and rail girder soffit. AMH Civil arranged for steel sampling and weld qualifications to ensure the integrity of the connection of the new structure to the existing.
AMH Civil worked with SRG to ensure the project was adequately resourced to meet required timeframes across three fixed duration windows — northbound lane closed, southbound lane closed, and finally a ten day occupation of the entire road and tram lines to complete the middle section.
AMH Civil resourced and managed activities internally for day shift and nightshift activities over Easter. Shift change processes were established prior to the major occupation, and the works were completed with a happy and healthy team proud of the work accomplished.
